Torben Voetmann to Present at Practising Law Institute’s Program on Finance for Lawyers and Other Professionals

Brattle Principal Torben Voetmann will present at Practising Law Institute’s (PLI) program, “Pocket MBA 2017: Finance for Lawyers and Other Professionals,” taking place October 19-20, 2017 in San Francisco, CA and via webcast.

The event aims to enhance attendees’ understanding of business strategies, accounting fundamentals, and vocabulary used by management investors, auditors, and bankers.

Dr. Voetmann will present during the panel session “Using Financial Information in Business Strategy.” Panelists will evaluate common financial metrics such as: earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and assets (EBITDA), return on investment (ROI), discounted cash flow (DCF), net present value (NPV), and internal rate of return (IRR). In addition, panelists will discuss the increased focus on non-GAAP metrics, and examine the effect of financial metrics on capital structure.
